EstebanofFMG Vs. Maino

Most of my day consisted of shooting MTV content with Maino. Given his past reputation for beating up (not fighting but beating up) rappers and his 5-15 year sentence of which he served 10 in prison, he is not one to test or play with. So me being me I never know when to shut up.

Maino comes in 2 hours late (which is uncharacteristic of him) and I hand him the wireless lav microphone and say "Run this up your shirt." He then looks at me like I'm crazy and says, "I don't do mics, that against the G code. No wires." Then I say the dumbest thing possible (but I ment it to be a complement). I say, "You not a G no more!" his whole crew looks at me then looks at him and starts busting out laughtin'. I'm thinking oh no! What did I just do? Maino, with a straigh G face says, "Don't ever say anything like that again." I'm like "You've made a consious effort to stay out of trouble and give people a reason to focus on your music not your run ins. You've stayed out of trouble for almost a year now. That is to be commended. Congradulations you are an artist now. No more gangster." His icegrill melted into the warmest smile ever. He said "Thats what I'm talking about. People always wanna talk about me kickin' somone's @$$. They never give me my props for stayin out of trouble. I appreciate that I need more poeple like that around me."

It's true. Tone Trump & I had a similar conversation about all the videos on worldstarhiphop.com. It's supposed to be a hip-hop site yet most of the videos are about rappers with "Beef" and theres no music on the videos at all.

IF Hip-Hop focused on a more wide verity of topics then it would bein a much better state. We don't necessicarily need to focus on positive things only because thats not realistic either. However if worldstarhiphop.com put up rappers videos that actually had music in it. Rappers wouldn't feel like the only way to get on worldstarhiphop.com is to do a video dissing someone. Be more responsible. But truth be told I think worldstarhiphop.com has another 2yrs before they get taken off the net and fined all types of national debt type money.

Thats just my opinion
